HR Summit 2025

Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE), in association with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Pune Chapter, successfully organized the HR Summit 2025 on the theme "Global Workforce Diversity Management: Insights and Best Practices in Multinational Corporations." The event brought together distinguished HR professionals, academicians, industry leaders, and students to discuss the significance of diversity management in today’s globalized world.
The summit was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Kalyan Pawar, EVP – Corporate ER/IR, Endurance Technologies Ltd. and Chairman of NIPM Pune Chapter. Other esteemed dignitaries included Dr. Ajit Thakur (Head HR, Kalyani Group Saarloha Steel & Secretary, NIPM Pune Chapter), Mr. Santanu Ghoshal (President - Organization Development, Walchandnagar Industries Limited), Ms. Pallavi Sarkar (Country Head HR & Compliance Officer, India NORMA Group), Mr. Nitin Asalkar (Vice President - HR, WILO Mather and Platt Pumps Pvt Ltd), and Dr. Porinita Banerjee(Director, PIMSE). The event was coordinated by Dr. Sheena Abraham and was attended by esteemed HR professionals from various industries, NIPM Pune Chapter members, faculty members, and students from reputed institutions.
The summit commenced with a spiritual beginning, followed by an introduction to PIMSE’s journey, highlighting its milestones and achievements. The dignitaries were invited onto the dais, and Dr. Porinita Banerjee delivered a warm and insightful welcome address, setting the tone for the day. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Kalyan Pawar, who shared his vast experience in HR, employee relations, and organizational development, providing valuable insights on effective diversity management practices.
A highlight of the summit was the panel discussion on "Global Workforce Diversity Management – Insights and Best Practices in Multinational Corporations." The panel featured distinguished industry leaders: Mr. Santanu Ghoshal, Ms. Pallavi Sarkar, and Mr. Nitin Asalkar, with Dr. Ajit Thakur moderating the discussion. The panelists shared their perspectives on fostering inclusive workplaces, leveraging diverse talent pools, and overcoming challenges in multinational corporate environments. The session was highly engaging, offering thought-provoking insights and actionable strategies for HR professionals and aspiring leaders.
Towards the conclusion of the summit, the esteemed members of NIPM Pune Chapter were felicitated. Special recognition was also given to the winners of the Marathi Bhasha Diwas competition and Traditional Day celebrations, acknowledging the cultural enthusiasm and creative participation of students.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Sheena Abraham, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, panelists, participants, and organizing members for their contributions in making the summit a grand success. Guests also received copies of AKI Global Magazine as a token of appreciation.
