On 19th September 2025, the Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) organized an insightful expert talk on “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work” by Dr. Manisha J. Nene, Head of the Computer Science & Engineering Department at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune.
The session began with a warm welcome and felicitation by Dr. Porinita Banerjee, Director (In-charge) of the Institute.

AI is rapidly transforming industries such as healthcare, finance, education, and defense by automating tasks, supporting decision-making, and opening new avenues for innovation.
While AI creates opportunities, it also brings risks—job displacement, bias in algorithms, data privacy concerns, and over-reliance on machines.
AI should be seen as both a technological and ethical responsibility. Responsible innovation requires transparency, regulation, and human oversight.
Managers and entrepreneurs have a crucial role in ensuring that AI adoption is aligned with ethics, accountability, and sustainability.
