Program Highlights
Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship celebrated "Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din" with great enthusiasm on February 27, 2025. To mark this occasion, various activities were organized at the institute, including a poetry recitation competition and a speech competition. A total of 14 students participated in these competitions.
The objective of the poetry recitation competition was to foster an interest in Marathi poetry, create a platform for budding poets, and develop creativity among students. Participants presented excellent poems describing the beauty, culture, and traditions of the Marathi language.
Dr. Vasimraja Sayyad and Mr. Akbar Khan were present as the main judges for the competition and evaluated the student's performances. Students presented poems on various themes such as the Marathi language and pride, mother, nature, societal changes and the flight of dreams.
The winners of the competition were announced by the judges and awarded certificates. Mr. Moiz Sheikh secured the first place, Ms. Sajiya Ansari came in second, and Mr. Vishal Jagtap won the third prize. Ms. Vishakha Kamble was selected as the best performer of the competition. This day proved to be very inspiring for the students and further strengthened their pride in the Marathi language.
Dr. Porinita Banerjee, Director (Incharge) of the institute, provided valuable guidance for organizing this event. The entire program was planned by Dr. Payal Samdariya and Mr. Mubarak Tamboli, with significant assistance from all teaching and non-teaching staff.
