Program Highlights
The Social Cell of Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) organized a noble community outreach activity by participating in Warkari Seva on 21st June, 2025. As a part of this initiative, staff members and volunteers distributed essential food items and water bottles to the Warkaris - devotees undertaking the age-old spiritual pilgrimage known as the Pandharpur Wari. This small yet heartfelt contribution aimed to support the pilgrims on their long and arduous journey, especially in the challenging heat, promoting values of compassion and service.
The Warkaris are followers of the Bhakti tradition known for their deep devotion to Lord Vithoba of Pandharpur. By serving the Warkaris, the institute’s staff members had the opportunity to engage directly with a living tradition that fosters unity, equality and devotion.
This initiative was a part of PIMSE's ongoing commitment to community development and social responsibility. Under the guidance of our esteemed Director (Incharge), Dr. Porinita Banerjee and the coordination of faculty members, Dr. Anjum Sayyad and Mr. Mohd Talha Ahmad, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation and left a lasting impact on everyone involved. Through such activities, PIMSE continues to instill in its students the values of empathy, cultural respect and active citizenship.
