Cyber Awareness and Digital Safety: An Introductory Session on Cyber Security

An insightful session on “Introduction to Cyber Security” was conducted on 13th & 14th October 2025 for all First-Year MBA, MBA-IT, and MBA-HRD students.

The session, led by Ms. Kausar Biyabani, provided valuable insights into the importance of protecting digital assets and staying safe in the online world. Students gained practical knowledge on:

• What is Cyber Security

• Types of Cyber Threats (Malware, Phishing, DoS, MitM Attacks)

• Core Cyber Security Principles – Confidentiality, Integrity & Availability (CIA Triad)

• Best Practices – Password Safety, Software Updates & Multi-Factor Authentication

The session was conducted under the guidance of our Director (In-Charge) Dr. Porinita Banerjee, and coordinated by Mrs. Misba Kadri and Mr. Amir Hamza Sayyed.

The program successfully raised awareness about digital safety and the importance of cyber vigilance in today’s connected world.
