On 22nd October 2024, Ms. Nayonika Gunraj and Mr. Ayaan Shaikh, MBA (Business Analytics) students, along with Dr. Anjum Sayyad and Mr. Mohd Talha Ahmad, attended the “IIC IPR and Technology Transfer Workshop” at Pratibha Institute of Business Management, Chinchwad, Pune. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and Innovation Centre (Western Region).
During the event, the students had the opportunity to present their innovative startup idea, RESQ, on the Start-up Pitching platform in front of investors. RESQ, a pioneering automotive safety device designed by the students of PIMSE, is aimed at transforming accident response systems. With advanced technology such as impact sensors, speed sensors, GPS, and a tracking system, RESQ can detect accidents in real-time and provide immediate response by connecting users to medical professionals and their loved ones, ensuring critical support when needed.
In addition to showcasing RESQ, the participants attended an insightful session led by Dr. Swapnil Bhurat, an Indian Patent Agent, on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Technology Transfer. This workshop provided valuable insights into patent processes, further enhancing the participants' understanding of protecting innovations and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship. write objective and outcome for the same.
