Program Highlights
The Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) organized a Library Orientation Program for the first-year MBA students on 27th September 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The objective of the program was to acquaint students with the importance of the library and to guide them on effectively utilizing the available resources.
The session was graced by Mr. Chetan Taksale, Director of Soft Tech Solutions, Pune, who delivered an insightful address. He highlighted the significance of digital libraries and explained the use of open-source databases for academic and research purposes. He emphasized that effective use of library resources plays a vital role in enhancing knowledge and professional development.
The program began with a warm welcome by the students, followed by the felicitation of the guest by Mr. Mohd Talha Ahmad, Assistant Professor of the institute. The resource person’s guidance inspired students to explore library resources as an essential part of their academic journey.
The orientation program was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Porinita Banerjee, Director (Incharge), and was successfully coordinated by Mr. Mubarak Tamboli, Librarian, along with the Library Committee.
The program served its true purpose by encouraging students to recognize the value of the library and to make optimum use of the tools and resources available. The participants expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm to incorporate these learnings into their academic pursuits.
