On the Job Training (OJT) Guidelines

The Research and Development Cell of Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship organized a workshop titled “On the Job Training (OJT) Guidelines” on 31st May 2025. The session was conducted for the students of MBA, MBA-IT and MBA-HRD programs to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the objectives, structure and expectations related to their upcoming On the Job Training. The workshop was held under the able guidance of our beloved Director, Dr. Porinita Banerjee.
Dr. Anjum Sayyed, a faculty member of the institute, was the speaker for the session. She effectively explained the key elements of the OJT process, including the selection of organizations, goal setting, professional conduct, report writing and performance evaluation. The session was designed to help students connect academic concepts with real-world applications preparing them for a meaningful industry experience.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Anjum Sayyad and Mr. Zafar Ahmed Khan. It was interactive and well-received by the students who actively participated and raised thoughtful queries. The Q & A segment at the end allowed for further clarification ensuring that students left with clarity and confidence about the training process. The workshop proved to be a valuable initiative in guiding students toward a successful OJT experience.
