The Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Advancing Management Education: Pedagogical Innovations and Research Publication Excellence” on 17th May 2025. The programme commenced with a welcome address by our beloved Director, Dr. Porinita Banerjee followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Shailesh Kasande, CEO and Group Director of Suryadatta Group of Institutes, Pune.

Dr. Shailesh Kasande conducted two thought-provoking and enriching sessions during the day. In the first session, he focused on pedagogical innovations in management education, emphasizing the significance of outcome-based learning, the adoption of learner-centric teaching methodologies, and the effective use of digital tools to foster classroom engagement and improved learning outcomes. The second session was dedicated to research publication excellence, where Dr. Kasande shared insightful guidance on research ethics, best practices in academic writing, and strategies for publishing in reputed journals, encouraging faculty members to enhance the quality and impact of their scholarly work.

The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, during which certificates were presented to all participants by Dr. Shailesh Kasande and Dr. Porinita Banerjee. The event was organized under the leadership of the driving force behind our academic excellence and growth, Dr. Porinita Banerjee, Director and was coordinated by Dr. Sheena Abraham ensuring its smooth and successful execution. The event formally ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vasimraja Sayed. The FDP proved to be a highly meaningful and intellectually stimulating initiative, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous faculty development.
