Visit to Weikfield

An industrial visit to Weikfield Foods Pvt Ltd, Lonikand, Pune, was organized on 16 December 2022 for the MBA Students of First  Year.

Weikfield began by manufacturing and selling products like Cornflour, Custard Powder, Baking Powder, and Vegetarian Jelly Crystals in India. Weikfield has two operational plants in Pune, and one in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh. In this plant they are into manufacturing of sauces, pasta and cultivation of mushrooms.

The HR Head Mr. Amol Deore briefed students about the products they manufacture in their plant along with its process. He spoke about their Eco Valley Fresh Portobello Mushrooms which are grown in highly hygienic and controlled environment under the strict supervision of qualified experts.

During orientation to the students Ms. Juhi and Mr Shailesh shared how weikfields uses organic waste in their farms as a fertilizer. At the same time he shared and motivated students for using organic products.

The Purpose of this industrial visit was to provide students an insight regarding internal working of the company, where they understand that theoretical knowledge is not enough for making a good professional career. Students witnessed manufacturing processes in plants and observed quality control measures used by them.  They felt delighted to get an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, and working methods.
